About Hartlepool Wadokai
The club was formed in 2003 and has grown to now teach over 300 students every week in 22 classes.
Our Little Ninjas program supports 100 3-7 year old children to take their first steps into Martial Arts each week, and we have over 50 children in our After School Karate classes.
We also host 3 North East Open Championships each year which bring thousands of the best athletes from all areas of the UK and beyond to our small corner of England.
We also endeavour to be 'more than just a Karate club', the Martial Arts skills are just one aspect of what students learn. We provide transferable life skills which include empowerment and leadership, tolerance and inclusion, resilience, teamwork, the list goes on...
We do this in our classes, but also through having an active social calendar and by ensuring we are part of the wider community.
