The Management Team

Hartlepool Wadokai is a constituted Not-for-profit organisation, the club is managed by a voluntary executive committee made up of Instructors, Parents and Students. The club has a great team of instructors whom have trained with many leading martial arts exponents from the UK and Japan.

Sensei Carl and Sensei Amy have recently returned from a year living and training in Japan (1st July '08 - 1st July '09) in order to improve their karate standard even further.

All of the Instructors are fully insured and qualified to teach. The FULL Management Team have undergone enhanced police disclosure checks to ensure their suitability for working with children and all are First Aid Qualified.

Carl and Amy are living in Japan from 1st July 2008 for 12 months. Whilst there, they are training at the Shiramizu Dojo run by Takamasa Arakawa Sensei, 6th Dan. Carl is working as an Intern teaching English for the Shiramizu Dojo, a number of kindergartens & private language schools. Click here for the shiramizu intern blog. Amy is also teaching English at a kindergarten in the centre of Tokyo.
