The Management Team

Hartlepool Wadokai is a constituted Not-for-profit organisation, the club is managed by a voluntary executive committee made up of Instructors, Parents and Students. The club has a great team of instructors whom have trained with many leading martial arts exponents from the UK and Japan.

Sensei Carl and Sensei Amy are members of the Wadokai England National Team (Kata & Kumite) and compete internationally. They both recently returned from a year living and training in Japan (1st July '08 - 1st July '09) in order to improve their karate standard even further.

Safeguarding & Commitment to Excellence
The FULL Management Team have undergone enhanced disclosure checks to ensure their suitability for working with children and all are First Aid Qualified. All of the Instructors are fully insured and certified by the English Karate Federation to teach Karate and all are qualified competition Judges or Referee's.

The club works to the standards set by Club Mark and we are always reflecting on what we do, and how we do it to ensure that we are offering a high quality service to our members. Two of the instructors, Vince (Year 3) & Carl (Year 2) are also currently studying a Sports Coaching and Exercise Degree.
