Welcome
On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to welcome you all to the 4th Hartlepool Wadokai Karate Championships 2007. The 4th Hartlepool Wadokai Karate Championships was the biggest and best competition that we have held so far. This is no small part thanks to the efforts of the clubs students, parents and management team. Following on from last year’s success, this year we've had more categories; more trophies; and more competitors than ever before.
FIRSTS FOR 2007
- Pairs Kata - this event is now very popular on the national circuit and we hope this will encourage more students to enter team events in the future.
- Wildcard Kata – this is an extra category that will be open to all students who do not finish on the podium in the other Individual Kata events.
- Independent Referee & Judge- brought in to help judge the events, thus leaving the instructors free to coach from the side lines! Special thanks to Sensei Peter May & Sensei Mairi Kerin for taking on these roles AND travelling all the way from Birmingham to help us for FREE! - they wouldn't even take their expenses!.
- Live on big screen TV, okay so it’s not Sky sports but you’ll be able to watch the athletes on a large screen inside the hall.
- Limited Edition T Shirts, on sale on the Day and for a limited period afterwards.
- FREE programmes with spectator’s entry fee.
Special thanks to our sponsors for this years event:
